Inspections

We Offer Inspections of Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Standpipe Systems and Fire Pumps

Inspection and testing requirements are mandated by State, City, Town or County Fire Marshals and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). NFPA 25 is the current accepted national standard for inspection, testing and maintenance of fire sprinkler and standpipe systems as well as fire pumps and fire department connections. NFPA 25 requires comprehensive inspections in addition to periodic testing of all system facets, such as fire pump flow tests, system flow tests, dry valve trip tests, antifreeze loop testing, and other hydrostatic testing. These testing requirements vary with the type of fire suppression system(s) installed at your premises.

Regular timely inspections and testing must be performed to:

  • Comply with the requirements of the Authority having Jurisdiction (Fire Marshal, Fire Department, DOB, or local authorities).
  • Avoid costly and dangerous violations of Governmental mandates and codes.
  • Confirm your system is in proper operational condition.
  • Ensure your occupant’s safety and minimize property losses should there be a fire emergency.

A&F’s trained staff performs inspections of fire sprinkler systems, fire standpipe systems and fire pumps in accordance with requirements of our customers and NFPA 25 procedures to ensure maximum system integrity and effective response in a fire emergency.

Our trained inspectors are certified by local authorities as required.  Inspections are documented onsite by color-coded inspection tags.  Our inspection software records and stores our customers’ system information and status and keeps it available for review by customers, fire marshals and/or fire departments upon request.

We offer weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, yearly, 5-year and one-time inspections according to our customer’s needs, municipal requirements and NFPA 25 Guidelines and Procedures.
